A 13 year old boy is asked to try the Sony Walkman (a casette player) from 30 years ago, and compare it to the iPod. (Hat tip to ArsTechnica). The line that bugged me was “I’m relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born, as I can’t imagine having to use such basic equipment every day.” because no matter when you are born, the majority of technological advancement happened before you were born, and any equipment you use will be considered “basic” by the future. But the kid’s only 13, so I guess it’s okay.
