Google has made a map of all of North America (i.e. USA and Canada). It's precision is good enough that I could find my street (which is pretty tiny). Furthermore, you can search for businesses (e.g. search for "Pizza" to find all pizza parlors near where you live), and you can get driving directions from any one point to any other point. Simply amazing. I really hope they do this for the rest of the world (most notably, for Japan).
