I'm going to Cuba for a week. I'll be back around Jan 30th.
This is Neb. I forgot to temporarily change my password to an "easy to remember one" for Cuba before I left.
The first few days here were pretty rough. I forgot to bring my flu medicine, so I was stuck in my room with a killer headache, unable to walk around to get food. It took about 20 hours before someone noticed I wasn't around and came to my room and bring me something to eat. I got some tylenol now, so I can walk around again.
Because of the situation, I haven't really had the chance to do much. In my bouts of deliria, I've had strange dreams involving everyone who posted here so far.
Maybe I'll post another comment again some time later before I get back.
I was feeling better when I made the last post, but now I've pretty much crashed again and am mostly bed striken and eating irregularly.
I'm not sure about this, but I think if you send an e-mail to cyber3@cyberporo.gca.tur.cu with my room number in the subject, 1032, they will print out the e-mail and give it to me. That would give me something to read while I lie around in my room all day.
Keeping seashells in my pocket will lead them to be crushed into dust. I don't know if I will go to the beach again, so I might not bring back any seashell.
Pretty much every waking moment, I'm thinking of how I wish I were with Meiko who would take care of me.
My loooooong e-mail came back to me, too. (It was longer than my essays for school.) I was pissed.
You should drink lots of water, sleep whenever you are sleepy (sounds silly but it's very important), and have someone to take care of you. Please follow this instruction. We all want you to get better!!
Hime: Waaah, you're the first person to use the paragraph tag after me!
Kilree: Yeah, fucking Engrish here... The instructions aren't too clear, but you'd think if they post an e-mail address, it'd at least work. I can't think of any way to reach me other than this site. Maybe, MAYBE, if I use their proprietary client to send an e-mail, the "reply-to" field will contain the correct address and you could reach me, but you have to pay to use the Internet here. I hacked my way past the "CyberCafe Pro Client" thing (Win2K, F8), but I don't think I can use their "rocketmail" thing outside of their cybercafe thing, and I don't have a timecode with any minutes left on it. I guess I could try to search for an ini file or something to see what the SMTP host and from address might be, but it doesn't seem worth it. While the guy who set this up knows what he was doing (Domains and shit), he must have been a one time thing, 'cause the overrall computer systems here are pretty crappy. The "info channel" on TV is a powerpoint presentation that crashes every two days, and these comps are using like IE3 or something.
Hime: Sorry about the e-mail bouncing. On the bright side, it isn't lost forever, right? I can read it when I get back. I don't know how safe it is to drink the water in Latin America, and my sleep is constantly interrupted by the kids. They don't seem to understand when to leave me alone. As for someone taking care of me, I doubt it. Everyone is austistic.
I'm starting to feel better now anyway. I think 7 days have passed since the flu started. I went to the gift shop, but they only had really crappy souvenirs, so I don't think I'm going to try to buy anything.
Wish there was an arcade here with some Bemani.
Oh, a few more things I forgot to mention. I'll probably be posting every night after 11PM Montreal time. When I get back, the plan is for me to get back at 6PM, but the flight from Montreal to Cuba was delayed 2 hours, so perhaps the same thing shall happen on the way back. Also, I tried to contact you two via Xanga, but you need to be a member to do anything there (including searching for blogs by username "Kilree" or "Ringohime"). Fucking Xanga... Had to google for a direct link to Kilree's Xanga, and lucky he has his e-mail address listed there, else I probably never would have reached either of you.
That's right. I'm stealing your coolness of paragraph usage! I'm gonna put a cute pic to cheer you up. She misses you too.
