There's this restaurant in my neighborhood called "Mess Hall". They have this pasta dish which is easily the best pasta dish I've ever had. It's fettuccine with a lobster sauce, and chunks of lobster. You know how pasta is normally made from wheat or flower or something like that? Well, they make this pasta out of truffles. I'm a cheap enough bastard that $15 is a pricey meal for me, and I refuse to buy pants that cost more than $20. This is a $50 plate that doesn't fill my stomach, and yet I have been, and am willing to continue being, a repeat customer. It's that good.

But that pasta plate is not the topic of this post.

About a week ago, I went to a supermarket, and saw a frozen "grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo with portobello mushroom" for about $10. I bought it, brought it home. The instructions are dead simple. Open the bag, put it in a pot, cook it for 10 minutes, and eat it. You don't even have to stir it or anything.

This frozen pasta was every bit as good as that pasta from Mess Hall.

The next day, I scrounged through the garbage can, trying to find the bag, so I could find out the brand name of this pasta, but to no avail. I went to the supermarket, but they were all sold out. WTF?

Well, tonight I went to the grocery store again, and I found it. It's Knorr. I tried it again, just to make sure that first bag wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. This is the ultimate pasta dish. It even looks homemade, so you could totally seduce a girl by pretending you cooked this from scratch. Unlike microwave dinners, she could even walk into the kitchen, see the pot with pasta cooking in it, and your cover wouldn't be blown.
