After watching Viper GTS (hentai), I started coming up with an idea for a fictional universe. I haven't really fleshed it out in very much detail, but angels and devils do factually exist and partake in the activities of humans on Earth. Whether or not the angels/devils are generally accepted as real things by the humans is as of yet undecided.

The "original" (in my opinion) twist to this universe is that the angels are members of a giant, faceless, very bureaucratic organization, perhaps called "Heaven^tm". The angels, particularly the junior members (there is a "hiearchy" of power amongst the angels, though I haven't decided how an angel is "born" or anything like that) are very idealistic, blindly following the Will Of God, for by definition, it is the right thing to do. Incidentally, in this universe, God is not the CEO or president of Heaven^tm or anything like that. Rather, the Will Of God is a result of the emergent behaviour between all the angels. It is very likely that the junior angels don't know this (and perhaps believe that there really is someone running Heaven^tm named God). I haven't decided whether the more senior angels are "in on the secret".

In contrast, the devils are a more of an anarchistic, disorganized, rebel faction. On this side, there is a single devil named Satan, the first (ex-)angel to have left Heaven^tm because he didn't agree that the "Will Of God", or anything for that matter, is inherently "right". Rather, he promotes "free thinking", and that people should make decisions for themselves about what is and isn't right. Since then, more (ex)-angels have left Heaven^tm to join the rebellion. Furthermore, the devils claim not to be "evil" in the sense that the angels might describe them. Rather, the devils argue, their bad image is a result of propaganda and FUD that the angels are trying to spread.

If I ever make a movie or novel out of this universe, undoubtably the main protagonist will be some human who has the commonly held belief that angels are good and devils are bad. Some sort of adventure will occur so that he encounters members of both groups, and eventually hear the devils' side of the story. I want to avoid making it clear whether or not what the devils say is true (that angels merely want blind conformism so that they may stay in power), or whether they are merely lying (as the angels would want you to believe).
