I forgot to post about this a while ago. In case you haven't heard, the next version of DrumMania will not be called "drummania 11thMIX" as many might have assumed, but instead will be called "drummania V" (not sure about the capitalization for this one). This is similar to Konami's decisiong to change from the "BeatMania 4thMix" naming scheme to the "IIDX 2nd Style", except that along with the name change, IIDX featured a change in the hardware whereas drummania V seems to use the exact same hardware.

mogu2 has some drummania V videos available for download. The Japanese text there doesn't seem to provide any details on drummania V itself. Rather, they say things such as "Be sure to right click and select 'save as'".

While I have not yet watched every video on this site, after sampling a few, it would seem that Konami has not noticeably raised the bar in difficulty. There doesn't seem to be any contenders that may steal the title of "Hardest Songs Ever" from the usual "The Least 100 Sec", "DayDream" and "Oni Hime" trio. In fact, even the "Children Sketchbook"/"Tamayura"/"Model DD4" gang probably won't be displaced. The supposedly hardest song for which there is a video on mogu2 is "Balance", which seems on par to me with "Cries in the Wilderness", an overrated 91. I'd say Cries is more of a low 80s high 70s, but I digress. Balance, like Cries in the Wilderness, is a long version, and while the tempo seems slower, the kick pattern is more complex.

So there are no videos of hard songs. But I don't know if that's because drummania V is just plain "easier" than the previous mixes, or if it's because the guys at mogu2 haven't been able to pass such a song yet: If the machine cuts you off in the middle of a song, the people at mogu2 might have decided not to upload a video of someone failing halfway through. However, seeing as how they also have a video of someone SSing Timepiece Phase II, 96% perfect, 4% great, it's much more likely that there simply are no new hard songs.
