If your bitch could read, this might be facinating news to her: Dogs seem to be committing suicide by jumping of a bridge in Dumbarton, Scotland.
"Dogs do not commit suicide. They have a strong fight or flight response," said Doreen Graham of the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "The incidents at the bridge are of very great concern to us because we would like to understand why they are happening. [...] Dogs naturally have a very good ability to judge distances ... so it is possible there is something which is causing an optical illusion or enticing the dogs to jump."
